My Approach:

I am a Registered Dietitian that specializes in chronic dieting, disordered eating and eating disorders in all types of bodies and minds.

I provide folks space to process their relationship with food and body and decide what “coming home” to their body looks like. Homeward bound may be reclaiming agency around food; it may mean learning to honor unaddressed bodily needs. My goal is to support my clients in re-establishing a relationship with food that feels sustainable, authentic, and values driven.

I come to this work with five years of experience within both the eating disorder treatment and outpatient group practice settings. I approach nutrition counseling from a Health At Every Size ®  (HAES) approach, a framework that promotes health equity, supports ending weight discrimination and improves access to quality healthcare regardless of size. My Values

I apply a liberatory lens to eating disorder care. That means:

Collective Healing

I believe that growth comes out of being in community with others. A lot of my clients do not feel like they can talk about their relationship with food and their body in their day to day life out of fear of not being heard. I am happy to help you find support groups and other resources that help you feel connected and less isolated in the work we are doing around food/body.

Bodily Autonomy

I believe in your bodily autonomy. It is very common for my clients to show up with both a desire to lose weight and a desire to to discover a relationship with food that feels freeing. I am not here to persuade my client to not pursue weight loss. I am here to support people in  reclaiming a relationship with food that is compassionate, sustainable, pleasurable and supportive of your own definition of health.

Witnessing Your Truth

It’s important to me to create a welcoming and affirming relationship with my clients where health and bodily concerns are recognized with gentle care. Even if taking a weight-inclusive approach does not feel is not something that feels helpful to your own healing, I hope I can be an ear to your body story and you can begin to choose what feels most sustaining for your physical and mental health.
