  • Meal Plans That Promote Weight Loss:

This is a service that weight management based Dietitians are happy to provide and is outside of my values as a weight inclusive provider. If you are interested in learning more about why I don’t recommend intentional weight you can learn more Click Here.

Although I am unable to provide weight loss advice, I do not shame clients for desiring or going down the route of intentional weight loss. I believe in bodily autonomy and making choices that feel best for you. I recognize that in order to access health care (ex: pregnancy, gender affirming surgery, surgery for bodily injuries), weight loss is expected and required. I value agency and you deciding what it is that you need to live a fulfilling life.

  • Adults ages 18 years old or over

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield.

I am in the process of being credentialed with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

I am happy to provide superbills for reimbursement for out of network insurers.

    Accepts FSA/HSA cards.

  • I am happy to discuss this further with you via phone call or email.

Testimonial

“From the very first session, Cara has created a safe and non-judgmental space where I felt comfortable opening up about my struggles with food and body image. She always listens attentively, validating my feelings and experiences, and shows real understanding of the complexity of eating disorders and all the different ways this plays out in my life. I have always felt that she genuinely cares about my recovery.

One of the things I have really appreciated about working with Cara is her willingness to not only look at food itself (in the form of meal planning, nutritional advice, etc.), but also to focus on the emotional and societal challenges that can make using those tools difficult. She has provided invaluable emotional support and has helped me to navigate setbacks without judgment. Her ability to strike a balance between challenging me to make positive changes and respecting my pace has been very helpful." -DB

STEPS TO WORKING TOGETHER:

  1. Discovery Call

  • A brief conversation to discuss your needs and whether my style and your goals match up.

2. Initial Appointment (Virtual/In-Person)

  • I approach this first session by starting to learn about you as a whole person and your relationship with food. By the end of this session, we will come up with a session frequency plan and a list of topics we’d like to focus on.

3. Follow Up Appointment (s) (Virtual/In-Person)

  • Each session is devoted to exploring new discoveries surrounding food related thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Goals may emerge if that is where our conversation brings us. The session may center ambivalence or exploration of potential behavior changes instead.
